The Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center offers 20 programs to high school students.  High school juniors and seniors from 10 local school districts attend classes at the center for three class periods.  Schools send students for either a morning block or an afternoon block.  In most cases these students earn college credit.  All students have an opportunity to learn skillls that will benefit them in the workplace or in further education.

How to apply:  students may obtain an application from their high school counselor.  Participating schools may establish their own selection criteria.  Once applications reach the Cape Girardeau CTC, students are screened based on attendance and discipline and academic records.  When classes fill, a wait list will be established.

Participating shcool districts include:  Cape Central, Jackson, Oak Ridge, Delta, Scott City, Kelly, Chaffee, Advance, Leopold, and Woodland.  Students from Saxony Lutheran and Notre Dame also attend the Cape Girardeau CTC.
